Complaint Thread
gmpirate replied to rcdb1984's topic in Really Non LEGO Stuff
We're a baseball family too. Have a son playing college ball right now. Thought combining stats was pretty stupid too. It's no different than people people arguing who the better players/teams were from different generations. Fun to argue but impossible to really evaluate. How can anyone possibly think it's a good idea to combine stats with people who never played each other. Makes no sense.- 7,457 replies

What Lego set did you buy today?
gmpirate replied to Damnation666's topic in General Buying & Selling
So, walked into one of my Lego stores yesterday and they had the LotR GWP's still in stock. Apparently their original shipment got split up and they received more GWP's than the actual Barad-dur set. Maybe not the wisest choice, but I picked up another just because. I'm hoping my son wants the set at some point. Or maybe its a birthday present for him 😀- 26,881 replies

European foil / paper bag sets
Goofball814 posted a topic in Star Wars Sets
I've only recently stumbled upon the European paper bag sets. Is there a comprehensive listing of these somewhere? I see they are listed on BL, but under each movie, etc. I'm just wondering how to see what's out there, and what's coming. -
Star Wars 2024

I don't know...I find it hard to believe that The Acolyte will be any worse than Episodes VII - IX. I won't write more than that here just now in case people still haven't watched the first two episodes. I hate spoilers. As for investment potential, if Lego only makes one set ever with the Big Bad, and he/she has a unique molded helmet (looks like it should from the various trailers we've seen), then I could see that set having strong potential. Just look at what the Darth Malgus figure- 108 replies

Gosei Sentai Dairanger. The kung fu themed sentai show used by Saban to create (part of) Power Rangers season 2. They used the zord footage (Thunder Megazord & White Tigerzord) but not the sentai costume, except for White Ranger. This was when Tommy changed from Green to White Ranger (with the talking sword). I loved the concept of Thunder Megazord where the Red Dragon & White Tiger zords could transform to individual fighting forms while the other 4 zords became the "armor" / e- 1,549 replies

What LEGO set did you build today?
Pseudoty replied to Ed Mack's topic in Building LEGO
McLaren Senna: I knew about all of the “issues” with this set prior to purchasing it: no Marlboro or Goodyear branding, the back wheels/ tires being too narrow (both of which can be corrected by an aftermarket kit) and the poorly printed white over red nose piece. But I really wanted to build this set to the best of my abilities, hiding all the mold injection points where possible and attempting to align the stickers to display well. What I got was a glorified Speed Champions set,- 5,866 replies

LEGO VIP Insiders/GWP Discussion
lebrick replied to Captain_Obvious's topic in LEGO Shop @ Home
I bought barad fur early this morning with gwp and at the time, I didn’t notice the limit but it was a limit of three. I wonder how many people grabbed a multiple copy of this. I also remember Lego limiting gwp to one per household. I guess we will see. I think they might do a bigger and a better version of fell-beast like Smaug in the lonely mountain set but the wing pieces may stay unique to this set as those pieces were puny compared to ones for Smaug.- 3,420 replies

Number of sets per original LEGO shipping carton or case
KvHulk replied to Tom J's topic in General Buying & Selling
ChatGPT says "For Lego set 60304, the City Road Plates, the standard packaging quantity per case is 3 boxes. This information is consistent across multiple sources including BrickLink, where Lego enthusiasts and sellers provide detailed inventories and packaging details. If you're purchasing or planning to store these sets, you can expect each case to contain three individual Lego 60304 sets." But i have no first hand knowledge- 236 replies

My order status
Billy Brick replied to pstebbing's topic in General Buying & Selling
Your mileage may vary but the last few big releases when just ordering one big set it seemed like Lego had some of these prepackaged and shipped them pretty quickly with Lightning Ship ontrac and I got them in about a week sometimes less. This was the case for me with the medeival market and the cantina on May the fourth.- 11,837 replies

Our family is growing in size (yay) but that means that I'm losing the space where my BL Store currently lives. I am going to be able to keep selling minifigures and minifigure parts, but all of the other basic parts need to go. I just started running a sale and will liquidate what I can in the next few weeks, then I might just dump the rest on eBay or pack it up for another year. That said, if anyone wants to add some parts to their store for cheap, I'd gladly sell all of it to someone for a de- 2,308 replies

Built sets retaining value
Mathew replied to Cole.mercer's topic in General Buying & Selling
Never. If a buyer wants the fresh build experience then they need to buy new. When I sell a used set I take several pictures of it built and then disassemble as easy as possible for me. I sell used sets as is. I have a full time job and reselling is just to pay for my addiction.- 4 replies

75387 - Boarding the Tantive IV
cardensb posted a topic in Star Wars Sets
I am a sucker for these small play sets that display well and as many others I wanted to expand the length of the hallway by adding on from a second set. However, I think simply reversing set two creates a mismatched look. The Tantive IV boarding scenes from ANH and Rogue One's similar scene are iconic to the SW's story. Audiences were introduced to Vader, the Empire, the Rebellion technology, star ships, and more all within minutes. You were hooked. Now we can finally have a small piece -
