After many years of the theme, LEGO Minecraft will finally have an 18+ set with The Crafting Table (21265). Revealed on JB Spielwaren, the set wil be released on August 1 and will have 1,195 pieces and is reported to retail for $89.99. The set celebrates the 15th anniversary of Minecraft and it features a cutout of the crafting table which shows a miniature biome along with different signs you can put on. It is made to look similar to the original LEGO Minecraft Micro World (21102).
June is now here and for the US, we have a lot of new LEGO summer 2024 sets that are now available for purchase on the LEGO Shop. We don’t get the full lineup of sets like with UK and Europe since we have different marketing strategies but there’s still plenty to keep us busy until the August wave. Pre-orders for the highly popular LEGO The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092) is now sold out as of this morning and you’ll have to wait until the September 1 release date to buy it now. LEGO more recently has been setting aside inventory and letting fans do pre-orders for sets they think will be popular and this one was no surprise, even at the $300 price point.
Fans have been waiting for The Legend of Zelda sets for many years now, even back during the LEGO CUUSOO days, and the Great Deku will be the first, of hopefully, many more sets for the theme. I wouldn’t be too shocked if the set will go to backorder status a day or two after its release in a few months.
If you’re a LEGO Insider, check your emails because LEGO has recently sent out a code to use during checkout for a free LEGO Star Wars TIE Interceptor (30685) polybag. The unique code works with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $40 until June 30, while supplies last. LEGO has released a Brickified version of the Wicked trailer and it does give a first official look at the minidolls of Elphaba and Glinda. The four sets that are supposed to be coming in October are still under wraps at this time so we don’t know if the items in the trailer are parts of the sets or not.
LEGO has officially announced the LEGO The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092) which you can pre-order today. It has 2,500 pieces and retails for $299.99 and is the first official Legend of Zelda set which we have been waiting for for years. It is a 2-in-1 set so you can build two versions of the Great Deku Tree, one from Ocarina of Time and the other from Breath of the Wild, and it includes four minifigures, Princess Zelda and three versions of Link. The fan vote for the LEGO Ideas Minifigure Prize Machine set is now live and you can now choose the Classic Space minifigure color and Castle faction you want to see in the set. For the Classic Space minifigure, there are five choices of Reddish Violet, Dark Azure, Warm Gold, Bright Yellowish Green, and Bright Bluish Green. For the Castle faction, there are four choices which consist of Griffins, Krakens, Crows, or Bulls. You have until June 3 to get your votes in. Personally, I’m voting for Bright Bluish Green and the Krakens.
